Keenan Johnson

Keenan started his career tackling the biggest, most innovative project he could find: space exploration. He worked on satellites, space first aid, mars rovers, and rockets. As time went on, his interest in working on climate change went from a hobby to an obsession. He left SpaceX to found Impossible Aerospace and prove to the world that it was possible to eliminate carbon emissions from aircraft today. After Impossible, Keenan was the first employee at Bedrock Ocean Exploration: a public benefit corporation developing autonomous underwater vehicles to map the ocean floor.

Keenan loves serving as a resource and mentor to startups at and worked with nearly 50 climate startups while building Third Derivative, a next-generation accelerator for climate innovation. He currently serves on the advisory board for several startups like OrbitFab and mentors hard tech startups through accelerators like Techstars and Cleantech Open, while building Ribbit Network, his Fellowship project with Subak.
