Recap of the 2022 Summit

The Subak Climate Summit 2022 took place on 4th and 5th October.

The Subak Climate Summit spanned two days. The first was a roundtable event aiming to expand access to, and discuss climate funding opportunities for early-stage organisations, and create dialogue around accelerating climate finance into underfunded areas. The second day was a full conference with talks and panels on topics ranging from funding climate startups, a not-for-profits’ role in decarbonisation, to systems change. You can watch the recordings for all of our sessions on our YouTube.

We were joined by over 20 expert speakers from across various climate areas spanning business, academia, not-for-profits, journalism, and more, including: Dr Sally Uren (Forum for the Future), Nicholas Hellen (The Sunday Times), Professor David Healey, Kirsty Schneeberger MBE (Climate Impact Partners).

We were joined by a diverse mix of attendees, including a substantial proportion of founders, CEOs, and investors, plus a mix of researchers, academics, analysts, consultants. Register for our newsletter to be the first to hear about our next events.

100% of audience members would recommend the Subak Climate Summit to their friends and colleagues.

I think today's Climate Summit has been an incredible platform, where not-for-profit and the for-profit communities can come together to share ideas and resources and hopefully collaborate on building a better future and planet for us all.”

— Caner Veli, Kind Community, Attendee

It has been really exciting to see people have new ideas, spark collaboration and start to build on each other's work in a way that I think is really important for climate work in general but also quite unique.”

— Bridget Gildea, Consultant for Public Good, Panel Moderator

The Subak Climate Summit is really invigorating because it can be quite a lonely journey having a clean tech startup, so these sort of events where you have likeminded people who really care about the environment mean you are able to be face to face and talk about the mission that we are all on.”

— Christophe Williams, Naked Energy, Panelist
