Grant Wilson

Grant leads the energy informatics group at the University of Birmingham, with a goal to make the energy system transition more understandable to a wider audience. Part of this is high quality open data, and part of it is using interactive web based delivery of the data to provide greater insights to users. There is a lot of great creative stuff out there, mashing together data science, data visualisation and leveraging machine learning to do different things with the data - its an exciting time to work in the area.

Grant’s Fellowship project aims to provide an interactive map/dashboard that can be used by local authorities and other energy system stakeholders to better understand the level of electric vehicles registration past and future, versus the total number of passenger vehicles, and the evolution of EV infrastructure.
