Kathryn Davidson

Kathryn is an expert in the field of climate and resilient governance. Her passion for research in these areas is motivated by my responsibility to our planet to ensure a climate-safe environment for our children and future generations.

As an author of numerous international peer-reviewed articles on these topics, she has been able to actively contribute to public policy formulation on climate change and sustainability issues at both national and international levels.

The aim of her Fellowship project is to harness the capacity of large-scale policy text data to provide evidence on the landscape of climate actors’ policies and whether they are converging or diverging in Australia. This project will have an impact directly on policy considering the urgency to deliver net-zero carbon by 2050. Insights will be disseminated into policy forums on the ways climate actors could better link and learn from each other to inform new norms for ambitious climate action and help explore new policy pathways.
