Clive is an engineer, economist, and a hobby inventor. The current New Zealand emissions accounting approach for electricity does not incentivise efficient decarbonisation. A more granular analysis shows that electricity emissions are hyper-local and effective decarbonisation needs to be focused on those areas to have the most impact. Through the Fellowship, Clive intends to highlight where and when solutions will have the most impact by accelerating decarbonisation of the electrical grid through providing better data.
